Last minutes in a life of an award winning scientist on the run, recording himself on a cellphone, trying to upload a confession of a shocking discovery, that other scientists from the science center want to hide in order to profit with that information. Neptune, Uranus, Saturn and Jupiter became tidally locked with the Sun. Mars is in the same process. And the Earth will do the same in a few years, leading to the synchronous rotation with the Sun. Like on all other planets, that will create one dark and one light side on the Earth. Temperature and climate will be unbearable on both sides, but the only place for survival will be in-between the affected sides - in the Golden Zone. The zone that has eternal twilight and acceptable temperature. Other scientists want to keep the co-ordinates secret until they manage to sell it to corporations and the rich.

A French documentary or, one might say more accurately, a mockumentary, by director William Karel which originally aired on Arte in 2002 with the title Opération Lune. Doctors of the Dark Side is the first feature length documentary about the pivotal role of physicians and psychologists in detainee torture. The stories of four detainees and the doctors involved in their abuse demonstrate how US Army and CIA doctors implemented the Enhanced Interrogation Techniques and covered up signs of torture at Guantanamo and Abu Ghraib. Interviews with medical, legal and intelligence experts and evidence from declassified government memos document what has been called the greatest scandal in American medical ethics. Based on four years of research by Producer/Director Martha Davis, written by Oscar winning Mark Jonathan Harris, and filmed in HD by Emmy winning DP Lisa Rinzler, the film shows how the torture of detainees could not continue without the assistance of the doctors.
